Giovanna has been married to her devoted husband for nine years. She carries the responsibility for the whole family, working at the poultry factory, baking cakes for the local café and looking after the children. The strain of this begins to show, when her overly considerate husband adds another burden by bringing home an elderly amnesiac. Irritated by her husband’s actions, her fantasies of the ideal are projected onto the handsome, mysterious neighbour opposite whom she watches in the hope of adding a little excitement to her life.
